Our Consultancy portfolio spans three core divisions: property and corporate real estate, infrastructure, and international markets. We leverage the latest innovation, regional expertise, and global best practices to continuously improve and advance infrastructure delivery, advising on critical public services and works of cultural importance; driving growth in developing countries and delivering some of the world's most technically complex and inspiring programmes of work.
We're hiring an experienced Planning Manager to join us in Basel, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
1. Advocate for Mace's value of safety first, leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
2. Possess expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
3. Champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of the well-being of the people you manage.
4. Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
5. Support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, contributing to broader company goals.
6. Support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.
7. Support senior management in negotiations, contract development, and other business development, ensuring that due diligence is applied.
8. Support the long-term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
9. Commit to making a positive impact for our people, clients, and planet, taking ownership for holding others accountable who do not uphold the Mace values.
10. Support your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.
11. Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the client and other project stakeholders, both internal and external.
Qualifications:
1. Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
2. Extensive experience in the successful planning (P6) of large scale complex construction or infrastructure projects and programmes ideally in the sectors mentioned above.
3. Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
4. Strong commercial and financial acumen.
5. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
6. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
7. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
