We are looking for a Service Sales Engineer for our Transformers Service Business Unit, in Geneva (Switzerland). Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area.
You will be part of the Sales Team that focuses on Power Transformer Service in Switzerland, with particular responsibility for the Swiss German market. As Service Sales Engineer, it is your exciting task to facilitate the energy transition by a cutting-edge product and service portfolio. In this team, you will work with international peers having many years of experience within the power transformer service business. Based in Baden, CH or Geneva, CH, the role will assume responsibility for the Swiss German utilities, industries, and energy infrastructure customers.
How You Will Make an Impact
1. Supporting the Sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing new and existing business by increasing internal and external knowledge of products and markets.
2. Preparing technical offers in accordance with Unit portfolio and customer needs, clarifying technical and commercial aspects of the offer.
3. Participating in sales strategy discussions, assigning short- and long-term goals, and negotiating the various Product Group sales budgets and marketing plans.
4. Identifying customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis, ensuring efficient marketing actions and communications demonstrate the value proposition of the products, systems, services, and packages.
5. Supporting the area Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and providing technical support, product presentations, and product/solution/service-related training.
6. Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution and analyzing the root cause of any lost proposals to increase future competitiveness.
7. Performing sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls, and providing regular sales activity reports to assist in production planning.
8. Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and more than 2 years of experience in direct sales and sales management.
2. Sound knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and services, and the power generation market.
3. Fluent in German, French, and English, both written and spoken.
4. Experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products, and service categories.
5. Understanding of offer preparation, contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
6. Prospecting, developing, and closing deals with utilities, industries, and energy infrastructure customers.
