Summer Student (Software Developer for Remote Desktop Server xrdp)

For the IT Science Department, Linux Research Services Group we are looking for a Summer Student to join our team (https://www.psi.ch/en/awi) and help improve the feature set of the remote desktop server we use: xrdp (https://www.xrdp.org/).
Your tasks
Are you interested in software development and contributing to open-source projects? Do you want hands-on experience writing production ready code to improve the operation of scientific instruments?
* Develop new and improve features for xrdp and potentially contribute to the upstream xrdp codebase
* Work closely with experienced engineers and learn real world IT best practices
* Learn to contribute to open-source projects
Your profile
* Everyone who is proficient in writing code in C
* You have a good working knowledge of English
