Product Obsolescence Management Expert
Job Summary
This is a challenging role that requires coordinating and ensuring the life cycle management of spare parts related to our Global services team. The successful candidate will build strong networks with various teams, establish processes to track the lifecycle management of spare part components, drive best practices, and focus on continuous improvement to ensure efficient delivery of spare parts for the services department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute and lead Customer Service inputs to ensure accurate last time buy information from the CS team.
* Work closely with the sustaining team to ensure knowledge and updates of part changes are known to global CS teams.
* Provide input to the sustaining team to ensure correct lifecycle changes are done for spare parts.
* Develop, maintain, and sustain an accurate spare parts lifecycle database.
* Closely coordinate with CS Business development teams to link the database with the CSB tool.
* Evaluate and track part successor, replacement rules, and implementation strategy in the database.
* Lead communication to global CS teams to update them on part changes and evolution.
* Strongly align and coordinate with the sustaining team to drive PDM changes and contribute to PDM data.
* Ensure material status in SAP meets the required status and current availability/status of parts.
* Influence and advise supply chain teams for CS demand and requirements to be served.
* Maintain a focus on continuous development to minimize lead times of spare parts.
* This role also represents Services in the LCM committee and new offer creation such as Modular and Condor to define the Services marketing package and go-to-market strategy to maximize the Services revenue.
* Support regional sales teams on part lifecycle changes and evolution.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering and/or Degree in Project Management.
* Experience working in services-related business or project environment.
* Strong knowledge of Gutor components and design philosophy.
* Familiarity with SAP - materials management and supply chain an advantage.
* Knowledge of product lifecycle management.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
* Problem-solving skills: Analytical mindset to identify root cause issues, develop effective solutions, and implement preventive measures.
* Organizational skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple programs, initiatives, and deadlines.
