The opportunity
We are looking for a strategic Partnerships Manager to lead and expand collaborations with startups, corporations, other Hitachi companies, universities, and government bodies for our Business Unit Transformers. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape innovative partnership strategies and gain invaluable experience working with diverse global teams. You'll have the chance to deepen your expertise in complex contract negotiations and leverage corporate resources, allowing you to drive meaningful impact and advance your career.
The Partnership Manager will report to the Global Business Development Manager of the Business Unit Transformers. The location for this role can be anywhere in Hitachi Energy location in Europe.
How you’ll make an impact
* Develop and implement a corporate partnership strategy aimed at driving business growth within the Business Unit Transformers.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including marketing, sales, product development, legal, intellectual property, and research and development teams within the Business Unit.
* Coordinate with Corporate and Business Units across Hitachi Energy to explore partnership opportunities.
* Serve as a liaison with the legal department to standardize legal and intellectual property practices related to partnerships within the Business Unit.
* Identify potential funding opportunities from government institutions that align with our partnership strategy.
* Explore and leverage synergies with other Hitachi entities to advance the "One Hitachi" vision.
* Foster and maintain relationships with existing partners.
* Provide support to internal stakeholders on partnership execution, including supply chain management, contractual negotiations, and contract drafting.
* Monitor, analyze, and report on partnership performance and its impact.
* Organize and participate in events focused on startup scouting, such as the Hitachi Energy Startup Challenge.
* Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities within the industry landscape.
* Lead due diligence efforts for new partnership opportunities on behalf of the Business Unit Transformers team.
Your background
* Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or master's degree preferred).
* Strong experience in partnership development, business development, or a related role in a corporate and international environment.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and implement effective partnership strategies.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects effectively.
* Experience in coordinating and leveraging corporate resources, including legal, tax, and intellectual property.
