Our company is looking for a AP Accountant (based in Basel Allschwil) who will be responsible for accurate & timely accounting of supplier invoices with regards to accounts payable of the CTD EMEA entities in Horsham (UK), Basel (Switzerland), Rheinfelden and Weil am Rhein (Germany).
Success in this role will be proven through improved finance and accounting processes Hands-on, improved on time and in full month-end processes and financial delivery to hit our growth & profitability targets and enhance our services for our customers, our company and ultimately the patients we serve.
Your Responsibilities:
Day to day processing of all supplier invoices
Processing of invoices and manual inputting of freight billing
Creation of pay runs on a weekly basis
Calculating different accruals for month end processes
Collaborating closely with suppliers, interaction and assistance with other members of the finance team
Review and improve accounts payable activities to ensure all accounting activities are well supported, detailed and audit ready at all time
Under mentorship from the AP Manager CTD EMEA review and improve accounting activities & controls that are in adherence with SOX, US GAAP and statutory laws
Completes and handles other projects and ad hoc requests as per business need
Demonstrates and promotes the company vision, values and competencies
Your Qualifications:
Apprenticeship in Finance or Accounting
3 years confirmed experience in Accounts Payable and other Operational Finance roles
Show strength in the following areas: accounts payable knowledge, monthly, quarterly and annual closing and financial reporting, passion for finance & accounting activities
Ability to identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement.
Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required.
Confirmed history of building interpersonal relationships with peers and operating partners to implement compliance of finance and accounting processes.
Commitment to continuous learning, show career progression and development, and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities.
Good skills with MS Excel are required; Further IT skills such as CODA, Job Router are useful.
