Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.
Based in Zurich, they are looking for a Business Development MANAGER (M/W).
Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join their Zurich office. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging strong client relationships, and enhancing our market presence within the infrastructure and construction sectors. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities in the infrastructure and construction sectors.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies that align with our client's goals and objectives, focusing on sustainable financial growth and market expansion.
* Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets, developing and implementing strategic plans to secure new clients and projects.
* Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional collaboration.
* Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our client's value proposition to potential clients.
* Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms and agreements that benefit the client and our client.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the project development, design, and construction teams to ensure seamless project initiation and execution.
* Brand Promotion: Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the construction or infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of achieving growth targets.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction and infrastructure sectors, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and industry best practices.
* Skills:
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
o Proficiency in negotiation and closing deals.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Fluency in English; other languages is a plus.
