Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customers.
2. Collaborate with other Shift leaders to achieve the site targets.
3. Ensure that the Operational Budgets are achieved in their area and KPIs are always challenged to find better and more efficient ways of work by engaging with their team and other internal stakeholders.
4. Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks.
5. Ensure the team applies the Safety Standards and relevant guidelines at all times.
6. Embed and drive a SAFETY FIRST culture.
7. Implement the required security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, assets and of the customer's product for the required area.
8. Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs.
9. Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions.
10. Live the Maersk Values around customer engagement.
11. Support the Operations Team with resource planning and management, e.g. implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness and address issues within clear guidelines.
12. Implement feedback channels for employees (e.g. Performance Dialogue boards, daily briefing sessions, Round table, Engagement Survey action planning) to enable active contribution to the improvement and development of the site.
13. Manage day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (e.g. safety, operational, employee related etc).
14. Conduct performance reviews and coaching with all direct reports and recommend performance ratings to management.
15. Support the environmental agenda and continuous improvement activities to increase environmental efficiency.
16. Actively promote the use of CI tools and methodology (Gemba, 5 Why, TIMWOOD).
We are looking for
1. Microsoft Office knowledge.
2. Basic Employment Law knowledge.
3. Understanding of different WMS.
4. Operational warehouse Supervision skills.
5. Communication and relationship building at all levels (Customer, Management, Operations).
6. Ability to lead, direct and motivate across all departments.
