Position Summary
The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As a Graphic Designer in Innovation, you will support the development of innovative and consumer-centric design concepts for Nestlé Coffee Brands (Nescafé, Starbucks, Nespresso, Nescafé Dolce Gusto, Blue Bottle, Coffeemate, etc.). In this role, you will transform design briefs into visual representations, utilizing a well-defined design strategy. Your responsibilities will also include enhancing the ideation process, improving workflows, and ensuring clear visual communication for all stakeholders.
A Day in the Life of a Graphic Designer in Innovation
* Lead and manage the complete design process, presenting innovative concepts and compelling rationales to internal clients and senior stakeholders
* Create consumer-centric design concepts for Nestlé Coffee Brands, ensuring alignment with brand identity and innovation strategies
* Collaborate with Brand Managers and stakeholders to visually articulate brand innovations and translate concepts into tangible visual representations, including sketches and prototypes
* Conduct in-depth research to understand consumer needs and transform 2D propositions into final mock-ups that accurately reflect the intended consumer experience in retail environments
* Support ideation sessions by applying design thinking methodology and develop efficient workflows along with clear visual communication materials for stakeholders in collaboration with innovation specialists
* Lead the development of internal communication products by conceptualizing and refining ideas, ensuring alignment with the internal team, selecting optimal printing solutions, and managing supplier relationships
* Stay updated on design trends and innovations, proposing new methodologies to keep the team ahead and establish best practices in digital technologies
* Build relationships within the Nestlé Design network and collaborate with colleagues to foster knowledge sharing and design excellence
What will make you successful
* University degree in Design (Graphic, Industrial, or UX/UI)
* Solid creative experience in design, preferably in consumer goods; agency or consultancy experience is a plus
* Strong portfolio showcasing modern design aesthetics and understanding of brand identity and consumer-centric design
* Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with skills in Creative Cloud tools, Mural, sketching, and drawing
* Experience using generative AI tools for image solutions and familiarity with current design and prototyping tools
* Strong organizational skills for managing international projects, with adaptability to diverse work environments, cultural sensitivity, and a growth mindset
* Passion for design, eagerness to learn and coach, and openness to feedback
* Proficiency in English
