Food Service - Substitute
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Food Service Substitute. This position is responsible for serving food to students and staff, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be required to:
1. Complete tasks assigned by the cafeteria manager in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Serve food to students and staff while adhering to proper health and safety protocols.
3. Clean all cooking utensils and equipment properly.
4. Assist with kitchen cleanup and maintain a safe working environment.
5. Perform tasks in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
1. Hold a valid Food Handlers Certification.
2. Be able to accurately count, weigh, and measure ingredients.
3. Have the ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
4. Pass a current TB test.
5. Meet physical demands including walking, standing, twisting, and squatting on a constant basis.
Environmental Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hot, humid environment and may occasionally work in cold temperatures below zero for short periods.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Food Service Manager and is expected to adhere to all school district rules and building regulations.
