Job Description
Your responsibilities in the Handling Engineering Group are to support the physicists by providing mechanical design solutions for various handling and transport requests.
The Project Office is a multicultural team of mechanical engineers and designers who work together to resolve handling issues in the CERN accelerator complex.
You will be responsible for supervising the transport and handling aspects of the High Luminosity LHC project, including:
* 3D Modelling in CATIA: Designing environments and handling operations using 3D software
* Tailor-Made Solutions: Proposing customized solutions for handling and transport problems
* Handling Tooling: Defining and designing tooling for handling equipment
* Supplier Management: Monitoring suppliers during the manufacturing phase
* Project Follow-Up: Planning, resource allocation, and implementation of proposed tooling and methods with the handling teams
This is an onsite position that requires you to work in Radiation Areas, intervene in underground installations, and have a valid driving license.
