Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Preparing and cooking a variety of exquisite menus befitting the train's luxurious dining experience.
* Managing kitchen workflow to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
* Oversees inventory and procurement, balancing quality with cost-effectiveness.
* Upholds strict quality and hygiene standards in food preparation and presentation.
* Guides and develops kitchen staff while fostering teamwork in a compact space.
Requirements
* Demonstrated culinary expertise with a minimum of 5 years in fine dining establishments, with overall 10 years work experience including experience in high-pressure kitchen environments.
* Strong managerial abilities to oversee kitchen staff, provide training, and maintain high morale and team cohesion.
* Ability to quickly adjust to the dynamic and confined working conditions aboard a luxury train and handle unexpected challenges smoothly.
* A keen eye for detail in food quality, presentation, and maintaining impeccable hygiene and safety standards.
* A commitment to creating exceptional culinary experiences that align with the prestigious reputation of the Belmond brand.
* Travelling extensively across Europe
* European or Swiss passport
* Fluency in English, a basic comprehension of Italian and French
