Engineering IT is responsible for all the tools, applications & platforms to over 4000 engineers that enable the creation of world-class automotive solutions creating multi-Billion $$ revenue opportunities for Aptiv.
Aptiv has selected WindRiver Cloud Studio Developer as its development platform for its Active Safety and User Experience Automotive Products. Engineering IT will be the service management partner for development & support of WindRiver Studio Cloud based deployment within Aptiv.
Your Role
Lead the design, implementation and execution of an industry-best information technology service model (ITSM) for the WindRiver Cloud Studio Developer.
Give guidance to operations support to over 4000 engineers using the Wind River platform globally to develop an integrated tool chain for ASUX.
Lead the design of the next generation of IT services to support the megatrends disrupting the mobility industry: ADAS, autonomous driving, connected vehicle, cloud & big data, and usership.
Work with volume simulation platform to process millions of miles of driving scenarios to enable L4 autonomous driving solutions.
Play a key role in building a best-in-class automated vehicle platform integration platform on the cloud.
Play a lead role in designing industry-first IT services required for an end-to-end single pane of glass WindRiver Studio based DevSecOps environment promoting CI/CD and global collaboration.
Design new application services for Cloud based CI Platform for distributed Automotive Software Solutions.
Report on ITSM OKR’s (Objectives & Key Results) for service quality, user onboarding and compliance to Aptiv development processes.
Work closely with Software operations team to design and implement continuous service enhancements to achieve target OKR’s.
Contribute to set up and monitoring of Cloud, FinOps & Security monitoring tools including Datadog and AWS Cloud Health.
Help diagnose a wide range of L1, L2 issues across Application, Infrastructure or Network domains. Liaise with Wind River for L3 support.
Work closely with Process Definition Team to support Wind River compliance to relevant Automotive developer standards e.g. ASPICE, TISAX, Functional Safety.
Help create training content, coaching and guidance to WindRiver Studio Users.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related equivalent 10+ years experience in an Application Architecture role building high volume, multi-tenanted and distributed workloads.
6+ years’ of experience architecting hosting, storage and connectivity solutions on Cloud.
Azure or AWS Cloud Architect Certification is a requirement.
Strong Experience in Terraform, AWS Network architecture, AWS Landing zone concepts and Identity Management.
Expertise in API Design Principles, Microservices, REST and application integration patterns.
Strong knowledge in AWS Pricing Models and Cost Optimization techniques.
Expertise in AWS storage, archiving and backup technologies.
Solid knowledge in Continuous Integration best practices, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory (or similar).
Solid understanding in at least one of the following Kubernetes, Openshift, Openstack, Cloud management platforms.
Expertise in application hosting, security technologies and resilience principles. Motivated, adaptable and positive personality with willingness to develop leadership skills in a team-oriented results-driven environment.
Knowledge or experience with agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban or XP.
Expertise in Scripting: Perl, Python, Go, Ruby.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
