The Position
"Synthetic Molecules Technical Development" (PTDC) brings a wide range of experiences in the areas of Drug Substance (DS), Drug Product (DP), and Analytical Sciences and works closely with key partners in research and early development (pRED / gRED), commercial manufacturing of small molecule active ingredients (PTC), and global technical development (PTD). PTDC is responsible for the late technical development of our pipeline for small molecules and the manufacturing of DS and DP for clinical trials.
In PTDC, the Small Molecules Teams transform synthetic molecules into medicines. We develop robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes, deliver clinical material, and create knowledge through innovation and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
Within the Chemical Process Development department, the scale-up & supply (PTDC-S) pilot and production operations significantly contribute to the robust and optimal development of processes for the manufacture of new pharmaceutical active ingredients for large-scale applications, ensuring that the required quantities of active substance are produced on time and in the required quality for clinical and toxicological studies.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting chemical reactions and physical unit operations on multipurpose production facilities in a three-shift operation.
* Preparation and cleaning of multipurpose facilities.
* Assisting in modifications and repairs of the facilities.
* Documenting work and adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP guidelines).
* Implementing and fully complying with relevant Roche policies, procedures, and standards in safety, health, and environmental protection.
* Flexible and independent working.
Qualifications:
* Completed training as a chemical and pharmaceutical technician (m/w/d).
* Independent and precise working style and good GMP knowledge.
* Interest in new technologies and experience in operating modern facilities with programmable logic control.
* Good MS Office skills.
* Dynamic and proactive working style and team spirit.
* Willingness to work flexibly.
* Fluent German, English is a plus.
