As a Sr. Quality Engineer Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing quality strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring consistency across multiple locations and delivering quality products. You will be responsible for implementing quality control processes, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in quality engineering will contribute to the success and reputation of Honeywell as a global technology leader.
You will report directly to IA Quality Engineering Director, and you'll work out of Switzerland location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of our products, ensuring that the quality strategies you implement will meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify systematic quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvements.
As a Sr Quality Engineer Manager at Honeywell, you will be a part of the Quality Leadership team within the HSS SBU and the global business of Industrial Automation. This role requires the person to apply their expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive global initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations, and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance, and product quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategy Implementation: Develops and implements regional quality strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring consistency across multiple locations.
2. Quality Assurance: Monitors and ensures adherence to quality policies, standards, and procedures within the region.
3. Continuous Improvement: Identifies areas for improvement and implements initiatives to enhance quality processes and outcomes.
4. Team Leadership: Leads and mentors quality teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
5. Problem Solving: Leads cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
6. Supplier Management: Conducts supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
7. Data Analysis: Analyzes data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Communication: Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
9. Compliance: Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
10. Training: Provides training and support to employees on quality procedures and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
* Technical degree
* > 8 yrs of experience as Quality professional
* Lead Auditor certification and experience
* ISO9001, ISO13485, IATF16949, and AS9100 experience
* Product Certification experience
* Regulatory experience
* APQA experience
* Out-of-the-box thinking
* Provide clear and concise communications
* Greenbelt Certified
* Proficient computer skills
* Knowledge of six sigma tools
* Ability to partner with others on projects
* Understanding of quality processes
Preferred Qualification:
* Comprehension and practical application of risk assessments
* Experience certifying new products, working with global regulatory agencies, test labs, etc.
* Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
