Banca Generali (Suisse) Private Bank is a private bank based in Lugano, Switzerland, and is part of the Banca Generali Group. Founded in 2021 and activated in 2024, it offers personalized advisory services for the protection of savings and the planning of clients' life projects.
The successful candidate will assist in executing market transactions and managing Treasury operations. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to work closely with our Middle Office team, gaining comprehensive insight into the accounting and settlement processes of daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start their career in the banking industry.
The ideal candidate will oversee the following activities:
1. Assist senior traders in executing trades across various financial instruments (e.g., Equities, Bonds, Funds, Derivatives, Structured Products)
2. Assist senior traders in managing treasury liquidity across various financial instruments (e.g., Forex, Forex Swap, Fiduciary & Interbanking Deposits)
3. Collaborate with other departments, such as risk management and compliance, to ensure adherence to limit and internal/group policies and regulations
4. Transaction Processing: Assist in the processing and settlement of financial transactions, including securities, derivatives, and foreign exchange
5. Handle daily contact with our outsourcer in different areas such as corporate actions, settlement, income, reconciliation
6. Enter free of payment transfer (receive and delivery)
7. Handle cash transactions and credit card applications
8. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner for cash and securities
9. Support: Provide support to front office and back office teams as needed, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
1. 1-2 years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably in a Trading room or middle office role
2. Knowledge of financial instruments and markets
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software, e.g., Bloomberg
4. Fluent in Italian and English; German and French are a plus
