You, as a Senior Logistics Lead are responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving processes and systems involved in the logistics operations of BioAtrium and leading a Logistic and Dispensing team Operators and Process Expert. The primary focus is on safety and quality while enhancing efficiency in the movement and management of goods and materials throughout the supply chain.
Key responsibilities:
1. Responsibility for all activities of his team in operational logistics. Leading, evaluating, coaching, and developing his employees. Precise communication between logistics and production as well as internal interfaces. Monitoring and controlling the time recordings of his team.
2. Setting priorities and allocating resources to meet deadlines.
3. Take over assigned projects (SAP/MES/Delta V). The goal is to integrate logistics processes with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and other technology platforms to ensure seamless operations and data flow.
4. Support Process Expert in review and Implementation of process related procedures (Standard operation procedures, Reports,…). The goal is to identify areas for improvement, optimize operations, and ensure a smooth flow of goods throughout the supply chain.
5. Ensure reporting of non-conformances and initiation of quality issue records and low impact investigations as well as corrective actions under cGMP.
6. Evaluate process performance and deviations while implementing a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics function by developing and implementing performance measurement systems, conducting regular audits, and driving lean methodologies.
7. Propose new or improved technologies to enhance quality, cost efficiencies, personnel safety and regulatory compliance
8. Collecting and analyzing data on key logistics metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. This may involve using statistical analysis tools and software.
9. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as Manufacturing, Site Distribution/Logistics, and Quality.
Key requirements:
10. A minimum of a Bachelor`s / graduate degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain or equivalent is required
11. Further qualification / post-graduate in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations would be strongly preferred
12. Training in Lean, Process Excellence, Six Sigma etc. is preferred
13. Proven track record in operations leadership within a multinational organization
14. Advanced years of experience in leading Logistics / Production Supply or Supply Chain position in Biopharma
15. Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills
16. The ability to support, develop and execute strategic plans for logistics and supply chain management that align with the overall goals and objectives of the organization
17. Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex logistical challenges and implement effective solutions
18. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal departments, external customers, and stakeholders.
19. Knowledge of local and international regulations governing GMP/GDP, transportationand logistics, and the ability to ensure compliance with these regulations
20. Proven ability to manage logistics budgets effectively and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising operational efficiency.
21. A commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on optimizinglogistics processes, reducing lead times, and enhancing overall efficiency.
