ELECTRICAL SAFETY SOLUTIONS (ESS)
We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager/Developer to drive financial growth for the Electrical Safety Solutions business unit through sales strategy development, market analysis, and product roadmap planning.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop Growth Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive growth plan for ESS, focusing on existing and new products, including railway, renewable energy, and industrial applications.
2. Market Insights and Opportunity Identification: Provide market intelligence to inform product development activities, support sales teams in increasing their effectiveness, and navigate the product roadmap.
3. Product Economics Development: Collaborate with product line managers, R&D, and sales teams to optimize product economics and achieve sustainable business growth.
4. Growth Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with financial objectives in close collaboration with the sales organization.
5. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify opportunities in railway, industrial, and renewable energy sectors, guiding the development of new business segments and product roadmaps.
6. Business Cases Development: Create business cases for individual products in partnership with product line managers and sales teams.
7. Action Plan Implementation: Define, track, and drive the implementation of action plans in collaboration with sales teams and product line managers.
8. Product Launch and Market Placement Planning: Prepare launch and market placement plans in close cooperation with marketing, sales, and product line managers.
9. Competitor Analysis: Prepare comparative analyses of competitors' products to support sales network promotional efforts and provide input to product line managers.
10. Key Information Organization: Arrange and maintain key information for business decision-making.
11. Business Meetings and Relationship Building: Schedule meetings with prospective clients to develop business opportunities.
12. Market Feedback: Provide feedback to product development teams and after-sales support.
Requirements:
1. Technical Degree: Hold a degree in electrical engineering or power electronics.
2. Further Education: Further education in industrial product marketing/business administration is desirable.
3. International Business Experience: Possess at least 10 years of experience as an international Business Developer in an industrial B2B environment.
4. Successful Track Record: Demonstrate a successful track record of introducing power products to new clients, driving key people across the organization.
5. Proven Experience: Proven working experience as a successful business development manager/developer on an international scale.
6. Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of at least one industry sector: high voltage, railway traction systems, power transmission & distribution, renewable energy, and e-mobility.
7. Power System Understanding: Interest and ability to comprehend DC and AC power systems and corresponding product needs.
8. Skill Set: Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
9. Communication Skills: Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
10. Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to develop convincing communication strategies based on technical rationale and think creatively, identify, and resolve problems.
11. Pressure Management: Experienced in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
12. Integrity and Trustworthiness: High integrity and trustworthiness, open and transparent.
13. Travel Requirements: Open to frequent traveling.
14. Languages: Excellent communication skills in English, French, and/or German are desirable; other languages are a plus.
