We are looking for a Facility Manager & EHS Specialist with a main responsibility in ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations while managing the maintenance and operations of our facilities.
The preferred location for this position is in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Facility Manager & EHS Specialist, you will execute Health, Safety & Environment activities by interpreting and applying policies, standards, and guidelines.
Your responsibilities include conducting audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance, developing and delivering safety training programs, advising teams on best practices, and integrating EHS considerations into business operations. Additionally, you will analyse reports for continuous improvement, investigate incidents, and maintain expertise in EHS regulations.
You will also manage facility operations, including maintenance, security, and cleaning services, coordinate with external service providers, and plan facility-related projects such as renovations and upgrades.
As a Facility Manager & EHS Specialist you will focus on these responsibilities:
* Plan and manage facility-related projects and emergency plans.
* Oversee facility operations, including maintenance, refurbishments, security, and cleaning services.
* Coordinate with external service providers and contractors.
* Collaborate with other departments for facility needs and improvements.
* Maintain records and manage budgets.
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
* Develop and deliver health and safety training programs.
* Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
* Manage accident statistics, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
* Promote sustainability and manage environmental reports.
Requirements for the position
* German language fluency (both written and spoken) is a must.
* Good English knowledge, both written and spoken.
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety OR Facility Management OR Engineering, OR a related field. Relevant experience in the field might be considered as well.
* Organized way of working, with abilities in multitasking and setting priorities.
* Previous experience coordinating external providers.
* Previous experience in EHS and facility management roles.
* Experience with compliance standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Project management skills for facility-related projects and renovations.
* Certification in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) and/or facility management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) is a plus.
