Main Responsibilities
Develop structural adhesives for battery assembly of future e-mobility as well as body-in-white lightweight construction in full-time employment.
Carry out efficient and effective material developments based on sound chemical knowledge, comprehensive patent and literature research and a strong focus on scientific methods, hypothesis-based designs of formulations and experiments, preferably using data mining skills.
Strong interpersonal skills are desired to maintain and further develop a successful team culture.
High degree of personal responsibility and business acumen are desired.
Support cross-functional teams and especially production is key to our success to drive the market introduction of developed technologies according to the product marketing processes of DuPont.
Knowledge and Expertise
A Master's degree in chemistry or a related field is a minimum requirement.
Techknow-how in polyurethane-based, epoxy and acrylic adhesive technologies.
Literature and patent research knowledge as well as an established publication history.
Independent, motivated and resilient personality with excellent interpersonal skills able to work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.
Project management knowledge, very good work organization and good documentation of work performed.
Understanding of the importance of sustainability for material development.
German and English language skills are a prerequisite for efficient and unimpeded interaction with global development teams.

Responsibility & Impact
Independent development of adhesive recipes using various technologies and applying different chemicals to meet project requirements.
Hands-on laboratory work, manufacturing of adhesive formulations, chemical and physical characterization, and checking customer specifications.
Take over project leadership and work with stakeholders from various functions to ensure project completion and commercialization of technology.
Lead technical project teams and work simultaneously on multiple projects and tasks.
Responsibility for audit-compliant project documentation according to DuPont development standards.
Protect intellectual property of newly developed innovations.
Understand and implement DuPont's business strategy.
Conduct Project Stage-Gate Meetings based on DuPont development standards.
Perform all work in accordance with DuPont EH&S standards (Environment, Health & Safety).
Proactive contribution to continuous improvement of workplace safety.
