Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Front Desk Agent to join our committed Front Office team driven with the intent of delivering 'FIVE-star' guest experiences to an international diaspora.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service by anticipating colleagues' needs, being in the right place at the right time, and crafting unforgettable experiences for our team members.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain a high level of service standard, embracing time as the 'new' luxury, and deliver 'FIVE-style' service in a timely manner.
* Execute daily functions of arrival and departure for guests, including registration process and observation of established guidelines.
* Review Group Resumes, VIP reports, and daily business reports to ensure seamless operations.
* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming at all times.
* Comply with FIVE standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
* Cash handling and credit processing as required, including Gift Card redemption.
* Support the Concierge or Telephone Operator as needed.
* Resolve guest complaints or follow up with manager.
* Review room queue and work with Housekeeping to expedite turnover.
* Communicate with guests regarding room readiness and coordinate luggage delivery with Guest Services if necessary.
* Handle Due-Out and Discrepancy updating in communication with the Housekeeping Department.
* Post applicable charges for late check-outs requests.
* Perform daily 'bucket check report' against guest folio ensuring accurate postings and proper filing of support receipts.
* Ensure balanced and closed cash reports with remittance envelop dropped in the cash vault.
* Enforce strict control of room keys and key handling procedures to ensure maximum security.
* Properly handle and document guest valuables secured in hotel safe deposit box.
* Familiarize yourself with hotel services and promotions and promote them to guests.
* Take and deliver accurate and timely guest messages.
* Respond positively to queries.
* Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards, including all safety policies.
Requirements
* Hands-on approach with a 'can-do' work attitude.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional guest services with passion.
* Excellent communication in English, minimum B2 level in German.
* Minimum of 1-year previous Hotel experience and knowledge of Opera is an asset.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Highly organized, results-oriented, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
* Perfect grooming and always on a neat and tidy appearance.
* Swiss work permit holder or EU ID/Passport holder.
* Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.
