About Our Client Our client is a European Infrastructure Manager with global expansion plans. For their newly created Value Creation team, we are looking for a Director to take care of new and existing portfolio companies. This role requires strong communication skills, with an ability to engage across a range of portfolio businesses, understand different business models, and work proactively with the respective CEOs of each portfolio business on strategy and value-driving initiatives. As such, we are seeking a strategic thinker with an affinity for the Infrastructure/Energy Transition sector, preferably Transportation. Strong analytical skills, extensive financial expertise, and experience in managing operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are essential. You will work alongside the investment team to develop and manage the portfolio companies. Job Description Monitor and implement the business plan and value creation work for portfolio companies. Establish and manage relationships with C-level potential investors and business partners. Build a business network and ecosystem within the Transportation and Energy field with long-lasting relationships. Involved in the operational due diligence process of new companies/investments. Identify potential business opportunities within the portfolio companies. Actively involved in operational due diligence on potential investments and project finance. Lead, coordinate, and negotiate with the different stakeholders. Present business recommendations to the executive committee and CEO. Build strong relationships with portfolio company C-level executives. Lead strategy in financial and operational optimization and valuation. Drive financial best practices across the SETF Portfolio. Collaborate with the finance committee and work with relevant internal colleagues and the board of directors to ensure each portfolio company delivers its annual budget and revised 5-year plan within the expected timeframe. Advise team members of relevant market information. Serve as a member of the Board of portfolio companies and report to the Head of Investments. The Successful Applicant Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or science; an MBA is a plus.10+ years of experience in an investment or senior leadership role within an Energy or Transportation company. Proven track record in financial management, operational execution, and due diligence or corporate M&A experience within an infrastructure company. Top-tier strategy consulting or Private Equity, Infrastructure background, preferably in combination with corporate experience within a transportation company. Deep understanding, knowledge, and insight of the market; preferably has already well-established business connections in the Energy and Transportation fields. Excellent networking skills and persuasive communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with senior management both internally and externally. Experience in project finance execution is an advantage. Hands-on, self-starter with a pragmatic approach and the ability to work autonomously. Integrity, loyalty, and strong people skills to adapt to different cultures. Self-driven entrepreneurial mindset. Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders. Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
