Nagra is realising a historic project: the planning, construction, operation and closure of a deep geological repository for Switzerland's radioactive waste.
The project has far-reaching implications, with Nagra staff planning ahead for the benefit of future generations.
In the next two years, Nagra will submit two general licence applications - one for the deep geological repository and one for the encapsulation plant.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage projects connected to the integral planning of the deep geological repository.
2. Concretise and optimise the repository projects with a focus on underground facility layout (SIA phases 31-33).
3. Document results for each SIA phase.
4. Manage external contractors and collaborate to prepare the basis and documentation required for the construction licence application.
5. Plan and manage your projects.
6. Develop the basis for internal decision-making.
7. Communicate results to authorities and experts.
Your Professional Qualifications:
1. A degree in civil engineering or similar, preferably with expertise in underground construction.
2. Several years of experience in planning and realising underground construction or tunnel construction projects.
3. Experience in digital integral planning, e.g. BIM and requirements engineering.
4. Project management experience in major projects advantageous.
5. Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
6. Independent personality with high social competence.
7. Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
8. Excellent command of English; German language skills advantageous.
