Primary responsibilities
Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support
1. Demonstrate the building of clear and understandable simulation examples for prospective customers on simulations of their applications, primarily in the field of low frequency EM.
2. Support prospective customers on the modeling of their applications with COMSOL Multiphysics®.
3. Demonstrate use of the COMSOL® software and summarize its features in web-based workshops and other marketing and sales events, along with customer meetings.
4. Identify, nurture and develop potential sales accounts in electrical engineering.
Post-Sales Technical Support and Training
5. Support customers on use of the COMSOL® software for their EM applications, along with a variety of multiphysics applications involving other engineering disciplines.
6. Initiate and participate in subsequent sales opportunities to existing customers or their colleagues.
7. Develop your technical and simulation knowledge and abilities through working with sales and support cases both independently and in cooperation with other sales and Applications engineers.
8. Run introductory training courses along with EM-specific courses, webinars as well as personalized on‐line and live product demonstrations to excite prospects and demonstrate our products to potential and existing customers in industry, government, and academia.
Minimum Qualifications
9. MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
10. Six months or more experience in modeling electromagnetic applications based with COMSOL Multiphysics.
11. Service‐minded, business‐oriented, outgoing personality, adaptive and flexible.
12. Willing to work with customers on a daily basis.
13. Strong presentation skills, both in‐person and on‐line.
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills ‐ quasi‐native fluency in German or French, professional fluency in English.
15. Eligible to work in Switzerland ( Holder of Swiss B permit or higher OR EU citizen ).
Preferred Qualifications
16. In-depth experience with COMSOL® software especially the AC/DC Module or the RF Module.
17. Proven record of numerical modeling gained as part of project work at a commercial company, government research facility, or university.
18. Strong background in computational electromagnetism, Maxwell’s equations and numerical methods with demonstrated modeling experience in one or more of the following applications: electrical machines, transformers, high-voltage engineering, induction heating.
19. Familiarity with the Swiss R&D landscape.
