Transforming Audi's F1 Project
Audi is set to compete in the prestigious FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The team has two strategic locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany, and the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland. Neuburg serves as the hub for the Power Unit, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations.

This position is based at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead personnel and organizational management for the Wind Tunnel Model Systems & Electronics Team
* Drive research and development in wind tunnel model technologies (sensors, measuring systems, actuation, control, corrections, monitoring, calibrations)
* Develop onboard system concepts, select components, and coordinate with Aero model design for WT models
* Ensure data quality and repeatability, including calibration and model readiness coordination with PWS & WT operations
* Promote continuous improvement, increase functionality, and enhance technological vigilance to optimize testing performance
* Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for all developed and installed systems
* Collaborate closely with WT teams, Aero Operations, and other relevant departments for successful F1 aero development WT testing programs and related innovation projects
About You
* Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or automation, or equivalent experience
* Proven leadership experience, ideally several years
* Background in F1, Motorsport, or similar environments
* Substantial professional experience in electro-mechanical systems development
* Data engineering and measurement technology expertise
* Familiarity with electronic circuitry, PCB design, and embedded systems programming
* Project management skills:
o Schedule preparation
o Supplier correspondence
o Status reports and quotations
o Evaluation and acceptance tests
o Commissioning and personnel training
* Analytical approach, ability to recognize complex tasks, and derive concrete measures and goals
* Conceptual thinking and self-motivation
* Responsibility, meticulousness, accuracy, and precision in work
* Willingness to learn and adapt new things
* Fluency in English is mandatory; German is an asset
