The PLM Solution Specialist is part of the Product Structure/Bill of Material Product team and is responsible for supporting the R&D units with the creation and release of production data. You will contribute to and execute PLM projects with METTLER TOLEDO subsidiaries and manage a broad range of activities.
In this role, your responsibilities include:
Supporting the end-to-end solution from creating designs for our products in our 3D Mechanical CAD systems (Creo and Inventor) until releasing it in our global PLM System (Teamcenter).
Providing tier 2 support (troubleshooting and resolving issues) in close collaboration with the power users (tier 1).
Identifying areas for improvement regarding functionalities, performance, automation, user-friendliness, and robustness of the solutions.
Contributing to the evolution of the global process template, design guidelines, and design quality checks, collaborating with Product Owner, Solution Architect, and Business Analyst.
Supporting the installation of MCAD applications, including integrations with Teamcenter to the end-user clients.
Maintaining the necessary documentation to make the power users self-sufficient (i.e., user manual, process documentation) and executing test scripts.
Supporting enhancement and upgrade projects during all phases until delivery to production.
Executing user training for new functionalities and refresher trainings.
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
A higher education (FH/HF) in mechanical engineering or a similar area.
Good knowledge of CAD for mechanical systems (preferred PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor is a plus).
Experience with PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter is a plus).
Familiarity with change management processes (CMII, ITIL or similar) and experience with developing installation scripts and facilitating their distribution to end users globally is desirable.
Independent, accurate way of working with an understanding of complex processes and interdependencies, along with a high problem-solving ability.
Excellent team player capabilities and communication skills across different teams and regions (i.e., R&D, Operations).
Willingness to travel (including intercontinental) up to 20%, with responsibilities sometimes requiring working on evenings and weekends.
Fluency in English; German is an advantage.
