The Position
We are seeking a highly-motivated and collaborative board-certified Veterinary Pathologist to join our Research Histopathology Technology Platform in the 360 Labs Initiative. You will work with a sense of urgency as part of a matrix team, collaborating with scientists from each of our therapeutic disease areas and functions to propel drug discovery projects forward.
Your role will involve executing pathological evaluation of preclinical studies, acting as the primary interface between the Histopathology Technology Platform and other pRED-internal pathology groups and initiatives, establishing innovative histopathology workflows, and implementing cutting-edge technologies within the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pathological evaluation of preclinical studies in the target assessment and early discovery phases of drug development projects.
* Point of contact for anatomical, physiological, and pathological consultations for scientists collaborating with the 360 Labs Histopathology Technology Platform.
* Primary interface between the Histopathology Technology Platform and other pRED-internal pathology groups and initiatives.
* Establishing innovative histopathology workflows and implementing cutting-edge technologies within the laboratory.
Requirements:
* DVM graduate degree, ideally holding a board certification from a recognized body (ECVP/ACVP), with at least 3 years of professional experience in an academic setting and/or the pharmaceutical industry/biotech sector.
* Extensive diagnostic and analytical skills in preclinical animal models.
* Enthusiasm about the implementation of new histology techniques, both in the laboratory and digitally.
* Critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and innovation.
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
