The Position
About the role
As a Solution Train Engineer (STE) at Roche Information Solution India, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver large and complex solutions. The STE acts as a matrix leader, working collaboratively with teams, stakeholders, and other leaders to ensure successful delivery, alignment, and continuous improvement within the SAFe framework.
Roche Information Solution India is part of Roche Information Solutions (RIS), which is a newly created business under Diagnostics division in Roche to provide integrated digital solutions to deliver on the promise of affordable, high quality, and accessible healthcare.
Main tasks:
* Facilitate Solution Train events and processes, including PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt (I&A), and Program Increment (PI) Planning Retrospectives.
* Coordinate the work of ARTs and Suppliers to ensure that the Solution Train is delivering value to the customer.
* Serve as a model of Lean-Agile Leadership to the Solution Train.
* C coach leaders directly but collaborates more informally with other roles to increase the organization's Enterprise Solution Delivery (ESD) competency.
* STE/SDL - Take over responsibility for the product development including delivery according to timeline, quality and budget in close alignment with the LCT Project Lead and in collaboration with Project Management.
* Project Planning - Create and maintain top level development plan according to planning process, align development activities in accordance with cross-functional dependencies and project risks, always managing the critical path.
* Project Controlling & Reporting - Continuously monitor and report fact based project progress, cost and quality vs. planning baseline, maintain project status presentation.
Who you are
* Experience working with large-scale agile delivery methods.
* Experience with DevOps methodology and CI/CD practices.
* Strong Experience on Algorithm Development and SaMD.
* Needs to be SAFe certificated.
* Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
* 15+ years of software industry experience (preferably 3-4 years in software development/testing).
* 8+ years of hands-on experience as scrum master / agile delivery (PO Syncs, System Demos, preparing for PI (Program Increment).
