Purpose of the Position
* Application support for customers active in cataract surgery in Switzerland (training and product support for users) with a focus on surgical microscopes and phacoemulsification devices, including the corresponding consumables (phaco packs, custom packs) and integration into the cataract workflow.
* Support for the expansion of sales and market share within the products in the SUR area through sales initiation and support (together with the sales manager in the SUR area).
* Planning and implementation of product demos in the OR (training, OR support and troubleshooting)
* Applicative support in the field of IOLs to explain handling and USPs to competitors.
* Planning and implementation of training programs and regular further training for doctors, nursing staff, technicians and ZEISS employees.
Job Requirements:
* Technical or scientific background
* At least 3 years of experience in cataract surgery (e.g. technical support or application) and hands-on experience with surgical microscopes and phacoemulsification devices, relevant sales support experience in company-like environment or similar markets. Experience in training and presentation.
* Experience in the OR (regular presence in the OR), ideally in the field of cataract surgery
* Digital competence, German and English, French with good explanatory skills, (optional Italian)
* Strong customer orientation ideally with an existing network in cataract surgery in Switzerland and a good feel for the customer and situational reactivity: sales affinity.
* Independent, structured and self-reliant, self-planning way of working.
* Good level of initiative and flexibility.
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Business management know-how and the ability to understand and map customer needs holistically.
* Ability to demonstrate innovative products that require explanation in terms of technology and application.
* Ability to translate practical experience into structured procedures and processes.
* Willingness to work irregular hours (in exceptional cases at weekends).
* Willingness to travel throughout Switzerland, for trade fairs and congresses as well as training courses, sometimes internationally.
