About the Role
This Research Scientist position reports directly to the R&D Director, Skin & Hair Science, and involves leading research projects to uncover the molecular and cellular mechanisms behind hair longevity.
The primary objectives of this role include:
* Conducting cutting-edge research on the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing hair longevity
* Identifying innovative approaches to regulate hair growth
* Developing and optimizing 2D and 3D culture models to simulate hair growth and study its regulation
* Analyzing complex data sets to pinpoint targets, markers, and advanced technologies for hair growth enhancement
* Collaborating with lab members to design and implement multidisciplinary research approaches
Key Responsibilities
* Lead research projects focusing on molecular and cellular mechanisms of hair longevity
* Develop and optimize 2D and 3D culture models to study hair growth and regulation
* Analyze data to identify targets, markers, and advanced technologies for hair growth enhancement
* Collaborate with lab members on multidisciplinary research approaches to advance hair biology knowledge
Requirements
* PhD in a hair-related biology field (e.g., trichology, dermatology, cell biology)
* Significant experience in hair research, preferably in a academic or industrial setting
* Strong expertise in cellular and molecular biology, including techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and microscopy
* Familiarity with 3D culture models, such as reconstructed hair follicles, and experience working with these systems
