Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Sustainable Journeys team in Google Search. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the product management for contrail avoidance and make a significant impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
About the Role
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
As a Product Manager, you will have a close partnership with the Google Research team that founded Project Contrails as well as the Google Flights team. You will articulate solutions requirements through deep engagement with end users (airlines), stakeholders (regulators, outside environmental groups), and partners (Google Flights, academics).
Responsibilities
* Lead product management for contrail avoidance in the Sustainable Journeys team in Google Search.
* Articulate solutions requirements through deep engagement with end users, stakeholders, and partners, designing appropriate solutions and tradeoffs in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Navigate critical partnerships strategy. Partner closely with sustainability-focused business development teams in both the US and EMEA, working to shape our go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
* 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with high-touch enterprise customers and policymakers in developing and launching new products. Passion for solving and influencing climate improvements at Google scale. Ability to achieve strategic goals and evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
