To ensure the maintenance and conservation of the vessel’s upholstery, carpets, wallpapers, and other related elements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of furniture in guest and crew accommodations, including public areas, bars, theatres, lounges, restaurants, and all other venues throughout the ship.
2. Responsible for upholstery equipment, inventory, and consumables.
3. Assists guests with repairing broken luggage, bags, shoes, etc. as required by the Guest Services Manager.
4. Participates in safety drills and responds to any emergencies that require participation.
5. Wears the prescribed uniform, protective clothes, badge, and insignia.
6. Follows health and safety regulations.
7. Complies with the port minimum safe manning to ensure that the ship's safety and security is sufficiently, effectively, and efficiently manned.
8. Ability to read, speak, and write fluently in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
9. Aptitude for basic mathematics in calculating proportions, ratios, and measurements.
10. Knowledge of materials and the tools involved in construction or repair.
11. Excellent knowledge in sewing, carpeting, wallpapering, textiles, and other related topics.
12. Excellent attention to detail, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
13. Relevant knowledge in carpentry.
14. Ability to perform finishing upholstery with acceptable quality standards while producing the least possible waste of material.
15. Minimum of three years of professional experience as a skilled tailor/upholsterer.
16. Flexibility and open-mindedness to work in a multicultural environment.

Possess a valid passport and seaman book.
