Regional Product Manager (m/f/d)
As a Regional Product Manager Europe in our Taste & Wellbeing division, you will lead the development and commercialization of new technologies and technical programs following the segment strategy. You will become the expert of the Flavour & Taste product portfolio.
You will be based in Kemptthal (Switzerland) or Naarden (Netherlands) and reporting directly to the Product and Portfolio Director Europe.
In this exciting role you will:
Manage part of the product and technology portfolio
1. Manage assigned regional product portfolio to ensure it is relevant, profitable and aligned with our strategy.
2. Become the regional subject matter expert for assigned products and technologies.
3. Manage the existing product portfolio, identify non-performing products and recommend deletion.
4. Help deliver Sales and Gross Margin targets, working with pricing team to define price levels.
Define Innovation needs and manage the innovation pipeline
1. Manage the complete innovation pipeline for a product segment, leading complex innovation projects with several stakeholders in the European region.
2. Identify business development opportunities and define innovation needs and gaps for the region.
3. Gather and provide business justification and local market requirements for the identified innovation projects in collaboration with the Science & Technology department, Flavour Creation, Product Development and Marketing Managers.
4. Work with S+T, Operations, Regulatory and Supply Chain to resolve issues affecting product cost and supply.
Guide commercialization of innovation
1. Build commercialization plan with the Marketing Director and the Marketing Manager and develop customer relevant value propositions for the product portfolio.
2. Engage with local stakeholders (Marketing, Flavour Creation & Application and Sales) to lead product launch in the region and identify customer opportunities.
3. Support the technical group in preparation of the launch of new products and technologies by development of proper training material and direct support.
Your professional profile includes:
1. University level technical background followed by Marketing exposure.
2. At least 5 years of experience in managing product platforms in food ingredients or flavour industry.
3. Technical or B2B Marketing experience in an international environment.
4. Understanding of marketing strategy and principles including commercialization of new products.
5. Experience crystallizing clear messages from complex sources and data.
6. Enthusiastic about analytics and numbers.
7. Expert in project management and presenting in front of partners at multiple levels.
8. Business Fluent in English oral and written (other languages advantageous).
9. Used to collaborate with people from technical and innovation related backgrounds.
10. Used to work with different cultures and by distance.
11. Open to travel throughout the region (30% of time).
