Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring System Engineer to manage the configuration and maintenance of our monitoring platforms. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise monitoring tools, particularly Nimsoft (CA UIM) and Spectrum, as well as expertise in automation and scripting solutions.
This role involves close collaboration with various technical teams to ensure the continuous improvement and optimal performance of our monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Configure and maintain Nimsoft (CA UIM) and Spectrum monitoring platforms.
2. Work closely with users and application owners to gather monitoring requirements.
3. Implement and customize monitoring probes, scripts, and automation tools to meet defined needs.
4. Establish and enforce monitoring standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the monitoring platforms.
6. Collaborate with network, middleware, database, Linux, and Windows teams to ensure holistic monitoring coverage.
Qualifications
Skills Required:
1. Proficient in Nimsoft (CA UIM) and Spectrum monitoring tools.
2. Knowledge of Windows SCOM and other enterprise monitoring tools is advantageous.
3. Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools, preferably Ansible.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8. Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).
