Personalized health monitoring is a dynamic and growing market. The need in this segment is to gather and analyze key medical vital signs to motivate people to improve their health and to detect early health risks. The challenge is to integrate sensors that measure various vital signs more accurately, but without placing excessive burden on the battery.
Senbiosys has developed a new generation of photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors that generate a high-quality signal but at much-reduced levels of power consumption and higher miniaturization. This advancement exploits the use of CMOS image sensor technology to build monolithic PPG sensors.
We are looking for a talented digital design engineer who can maintain the logic block of our chip design and ensure continuous improvement of our PPG chips.
Responsibilities:
1. Familiarize yourself with the existing Dkit and Cadence design environment
2. Propose design improvements to our logic blocks such as FIFO, I2C, Control Unit
3. Contribute to the full digital design flow:
1. Digital RTL design and top-level simulation using UVM with Cadence Xcelium
2. Synthesis with Cadence Genus
3. Place and route with Cadence Innovus
4. Post-P&R top-level simulation using UVM with Cadence Xcelium
5. Static Timing Analysis (STA) with Cadence Tempus
6. Implement testability, including scan chain insertion
4. Assist analog designers by providing appropriate netlists for analog simulation
5. Support digital integration for chip finishing
6. Collaborate with test teams for post-tapeout testing
7. Generate test patterns for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and work with external testing houses
Your Profile:
1. MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field
2. Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
3. Strong communication skills and ability to learn quickly
4. European citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
5. Experience with Cadence tools, including RTL design, synthesis, P&R, STA, and DFT
6. Experience with UVM for verification
