The position
As our Senior Director Finance & Supply Chain you will be reporting directly to the Rare Disease CFO. This role is crucial in steering the financial planning and analysis of our global Rare Disease P&L, championing strategic finance initiatives, and ensuring seamless financial and supply chain operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Financial Planning and Analysis: You will lead the financial planning and analysis for the Rare Disease therapeutical area, managing $3b USD in topline as well as the bottom-line including challenge, consolidation, reporting and performance updates. You will drive global sales ambitions and resource allocation through robust financial processes, while also being responsible for the budget of Global Rare Disease Operations.
* Strategic Finance: Through various initiatives, you will create value by driving long-term sustainability and profitability for the business. You will enable strategic business decisions through in-depth analysis, compelling business cases, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and effective storytelling. Additionally, you will provide financial support for Business Development processes.
* Supply Chain Management: You will serve as the vital link between the HQ Supply Chain and Commercial Demand, offering strategic recommendations on portfolio prioritization, optimizing supply chain flow, and overseeing capex investments.
* Leadership: You will lead a team of four highly engaged employees, ensuring ambitious and high-quality deliverables, fostering people development, and maintaining psychological safety.
Across all responsibilities, you will leverage your subject matter expertise and soft skills to collaborate with stakeholders across our HQ, International Operations, and United States Business units in finance, supply, and other functions.
Qualifications
* Education: Master's degree in finance, economics, or a similar field.
* Work Experience and Proclivities: You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with a proven track record in FP&A and strategic finance. A value and business partnering mindset is essential, along with autonomous strategic thinking and complex problem-solving skills. You must be a proven people leader who showcases emotional intelligence. Experience working within a global context and the ability to drive change in a matrix organization are also crucial.
* Language Skills: Proficiency in English.

Finance & Supply Chain is one of the three departments of Finance & Commercial Excellence, which consists of 20 international, engaged and diverse finance, commercial excellence and omnichannel experts. Across functions, Finance & Commercial excellence is responsible to propel an attractive and sustainable growth to help reaching patients with chronic rare diseases.
