What you will do
The Director, Global Category Hygiene Materials will play a pivotal role in the understanding of business strategies and development of global category strategies aimed to deliver year on year value and innovation sustainability. You will be collaborating with R&D and Brand Development within the existing Innovation procurement structure to optimize external innovation and unlock value and efficiency throughout the product development process. This is a people leader position supporting buyers who manage approximately 0.6 Bn Spend (50% directly and 50% indirectly), support global NPD projects deliver against sustainability targets, and increase resilience in our product portfolio working closely with quality and R&D functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to Procurement teams to develop strategies that will take Kenvue to the next level of competitiveness.
* Develop and manage key supplier relationships to maximize value creation and improve supplier performance.
* Work in close collaboration with global R&D, supply chain leaders, and quality functions managing performance in joint supplier relationship management (SRM).
* Develop forward-looking sourcing strategies to meet Kenvue’s present and future needs.
* Attract, equip, develop, and coach a dedicated team focused on category management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of the innovation pipeline.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on procurement sourcing strategies.
* Cultivate a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* Manage direct and indirect reports, coaching on operational tasks and sourcing strategies.
* Mobilize category resources to serve business priorities and programs.
* Translate and implement category strategies in the EMEA region.
* Engage with suppliers and internal partners to build skills in Category & Supplier Management.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in direct materials Procurement in fast-moving consumer goods industry.
* Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
* Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think strategically and develop long-term plans.
* Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Broad understanding of Supply Chain Management.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* A mindset for innovation and drive efficiency.
* Strong business acumen.
* In-depth knowledge of procurement principles and strategies.
* Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong personal ownership.
