For our Site in Visp, we’re currently looking for an EHS Manager Process Safety (m/w/d). The EHS Manager Process Safety is responsible for the successful implementation, supervision, and optimization of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for the Visp site (Manufacturing & laboratory facilities and Services & Site Infrastructure). The role is also responsible for the development and execution of continuous improvement strategies related to EHS process safety.
Key responsibilities:
1. Responsible for EHS programs for Visp site, specific focus on EHS process safety management.
2. Develop continuous improvement strategies for Lonza Visp EHS process safety management system to meet Global EHS and international standards.
3. Drive compliance with EHS regulations and international standards on site with respect to process safety.
4. Handle EHS concepts and programs in close cooperation with the respective EHS functions from EHS Visp.
5. Select, train, and guide on EHS process safety tools and data systems.
6. Manage external process safety consultants and act as Lonza counterpart for process safety lab services.
7. Carry out plant inspections, short audits, and site inspections.
8. Implement and continuously improve EHS process safety dashboard and performance monitoring systems.
9. Develop, create, and implement EHS process safety standards for Visp.
Key requirements:
1. Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
2. Safety Engineer (Sicherheitsingenieur) EKAS / SUVA and proven experience in process safety.
3. Profound work experience within the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Bio-manufacturing industry.
4. Proven process understanding in Biopharma manufacturing (safety aspects).
5. Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written in German and English.
6. Strong presentation skills for developing and delivering training to elevate knowledge, skills, and behaviors at multiple levels of the organization.
7. Ability to deal with a high level of ambiguity using coaching skills.
