The Internal Communications team is key to supporting Global Fund staff in accessing the tools, information and messaging they need to effectively deliver their work. The team works with departments across the organization, and particularly closely with senior management, to identify and communicate new guidance, messaging and updates to staff internally. The team supports the strengthening of staff engagement and the integration of Global Fund values into our daily work.
The Associate Specialist, Internal Communications will support the implementation of the internal communications strategy and workplan to ensure Global Fund employees have access to the information they need to effectively do their work and to reinforce a common organizational culture. Key responsibilities include maintaining and uploading content to the Global Fund Intranet, supporting the implementation of internal communications campaigns, development and writing of internal communications products, tracking metrics on which communications tools are most effective, and supporting internal events and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Lead, Internal Communications, the Associate Specialist, Internal Communications will:
* Coordinate and update timely and quality content on the Engage intranet platform by managing and training content owners, writing, editing and posting content, and maintaining the annual editorial calendar in line with the annual internal comms plan.
* Develop and implement internal communication campaigns and initiatives, including production and sending of timely biweekly newsletter Insider.
* Support production of multi-media communications together with the Creative Studio team.
* Write or edit short bios for new joiners and other staff-related communications.
* Coordinate and support brown bag sessions as relevant.
* Support internal communications needs for all organization-wide events.
* Identify and implement a monitoring and evaluation approach/tools to track and analyze metrics that measure which internal communications initiatives are most effective.

Qualifications
Essential:
* University degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Public Relations or a relevant field.
Experience
Essential:
* Experience in a communications-related role.
* Proven understanding of internal communications operations, principles and practices.
* Strong writing and editorial skills.
* Experience managing and working with a range of stakeholders, and managing a process from start to completion.
Desirable:
* Over 2-4 years of experience in a communications-related, ideally staff-facing role.
* Experience working in a large, preferably global organization.
* Proven ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Competencies
Languages:
An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset [to be amended as per job requirements].
