Next-Generation Web Platform for CERN's Institutional Repository
* Full-time
CERN's Document Server (CDS) is the central repository for archiving, preserving, and disseminating research outputs and multimedia content. We are developing a cutting-edge web platform using InvenioRDM open-source technology, and as a Graduate, you will play a key role in shaping its future.
This role involves:
* Working as a full-stack software engineer with Python and React.
* Contributing to feature development, migrating to the new platform, and ensuring smooth transition.
* Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software, as well as collaborating with users to understand their needs and refine the system accordingly.
Our goal is to create an efficient workflow for researchers, enabling them to archive, publish, and share research outputs, including software, data, and documents, more easily and efficiently. This is an opportunity to significantly impact how CERN researchers manage and disseminate their work.
Required Skills:
* Docker and OpenShift expertise.
* Experience working on open-source projects.
* A maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software engineering or a related field, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree as your highest educational qualification.

* University degree required; PhD holders not eligible.
What we offer:
* A monthly stipend ranging between 5196 and 5716 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
* Comprehensive health insurance for yourself, spouse, and children, as well as pension fund membership.
* Installation grant; family, child, and infant allowances; payment of travel expenses.
* 30 days of paid leave per year.
* On-the-job training at CERN, as well as in-house language courses for English and/or French.
About us:
CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is probing the fundamental structure of the universe using the world's largest scientific instruments. Physicists and engineers study the basic constituents of matter by colliding particles together. The process provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.
CERN values diversity and employs a diverse workforce, which is crucial to our success.
