Job Description: Our client, based in Vaud, is seeking a Bonding and Painting Special Process Expert. Reporting to the Methods, Facility & Planning Manager, you will be involved during the specification and preliminary design phase, in the detailed design phase, and after the serial go phase.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the business to bring ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition in order to improve product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
Your Responsibilities:
Contribute to the tender phase, especially in product design and industrialization, to take into account industrial constraints and requirements in order to optimize costs and minimize risks.
Contribute during specification and design phases to technical solution decisions associated with special processes.
Interact with product engineering to redirect the design if necessary.
Build the special processes REX and interact with product engineering to redirect the design if necessary.
Manage industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan.
Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start production.
Qualify the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design.
Ensure deployment and validation of new processes in line with project planning.
Issue relevant documents in the Quality System.
Guarantee internal control and good application of process rules in line with customers’ requirements.
Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crises.
Your Profile:
Engineering degree in chemical or material mandatory.
Knowledge and willingness to work also in mechanical process engineering activities.
Ideally, training and qualification as EWF 517-01 European Adhesive Engineer.
French and English required.
Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering: writing manufacturing work instructions, task sequencing, tooling specification.
