Job Description: JOB PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity exists for a world-class Destination Experiences Manager to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” and oversee the planning and execution of Destination Experiences and disembarkation process, ensuring that guests' expectations are exceeded. This role plays a pivotal part in achieving company financial goals through a proactive approach to revenue generation and cost control, while providing detailed feedback to enhance overall experience quality.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Drive the Destinations Team in the delivery of high standards of service regarding bookings of Destination Experiences and disembarkation arrangements.
Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed financial targets set by the company.
Monitor and manage sales to maximize revenue and profitability.
Promptly generate accurate reporting of ports, Destination Experiences, and disembarkation execution.
Handle and analyze Guests’ feedback to identify areas for improvement and share these with shoreside.
Provide Guests and Hosts with ports and destinations information through meetings and presentations.
Proactively collaborate with the corporate office to enhance the overall quality of services and exceed Guest expectations.
Manage, train, and develop the Destination Experiences Team.
Participate in onboard social events with Guests.
Ensure the implementation of the Standard Procedure Manual regarding Destination Experiences and disembarkation arrangements.
Foster a positive work environment and exemplify excellent leadership qualities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the position with diverse luxury Hospitality and/or luxury Cruise lines.
Previous experience in Start Ups/Pre-openings is an advantage.
Current and accurate knowledge of history, culture, geography, and excursion operations of ports of call.
Proficient in English; any additional language, particularly European languages, is considered an advantage.
Experience in complaints management and selling techniques.
Excellent communication and team management skills.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Possess a valid passport and seaman book.
