Bath & Body Works is a global leader in personal care and home fragrance products. Known for our high-quality body care, candles, and seasonal fragrances, we are expanding into the European market with a focus on delivering localized, multi-language experience.
Role Overview: The eCommerce Manager will oversee the strategy, development, and operations of our multi-country, multi-language website for Europe. This individual will ensure seamless online experiences across multiple markets, lead cross-functional teams, and drive growth in online sales while maintaining brand consistency and customer satisfaction.
Reports to: GM BBW EU / Global VP of Ecommerce
Key Responsibilities:
Website Development & Management:
* Lead the launch and continuous optimization of the multi-country eCommerce platform.
* Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, and third-party agencies to ensure the platform supports localization (languages, currencies, legal requirements, etc.).
* Implement best practices for user experience, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
* Develop and execute an eCommerce strategy aligned with business objectives for each target market.
* Identify opportunities for growth, including new features, products, and market trends.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
Localization & Market-Specific Strategies:
* Work with translators and local market experts to ensure accurate and culturally relevant content.
* Develop country-specific promotions, pricing strategies, and campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
* Build and manage a team that includes a site merchandiser, digital marketing specialist, and others as needed.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, supply chain, IT, and legal teams.
* Act as the primary liaison between regional offices and the global headquarters.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
* Use analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
* Provide regular reports on sales, traffic, and other key metrics.
* Recommend adjustments to strategies based on insights and feedback.
Operational Excellence:
* Oversee inventory management, logistics, and customer service processes to ensure efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with local eCommerce laws, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and taxation requirements.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce management, preferably in a multi-country or multi-language environment.
* Proven experience launching and scaling eCommerce platforms.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, or similar).
* Strong understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
* Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and performance marketing strategies.
Soft Skills:
* Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
* Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across cultures and teams.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., French, Spanish, or Dutch) is highly advantageous.
* Understanding of cultural nuances and regional consumer behavior.
