Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.
Position Purpose:
As accounting assistant you will support financial operations within the company, assisting with tasks like processing invoices, managing accounts receivable/payable, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations while contributing to our business growth.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include:
* Tracking and recording financial transactions.
* Maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable and payable.
* Processing invoices and payments.
* Reconciliation of accounts.
* Issuing and sending debit/credit notes related to landing reports.
* Requesting and following up on payments to customers/suppliers.
* Full processing request of weight adjustments and commissions.
* Overheads payments, Supplier Payments, Customers and Agents.
* Updating and maintaining accounting database.
* Handling correspondence with clients and vendors.
* Accounting invoice of freight invoices.
* Assisting with financial reporting and statement preparation.
* Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
* Identifying and reporting discrepancies.
* Supporting audits and tax submissions.

Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
* Commercial apprenticeship, CFC or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Fluent in English and French; any other languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in trading platforms and tools such as Fintrade.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organization and time management skills.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
* Good customer service skills and hands-on experience with data management tools and office software programs.
* Able to work and perform within a fast-growing business while keeping motivation and contributing to the business expansion and success.
Working environment:
* Hybrid.
