Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Biomolecular Engineering for Health
The Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering at ETH Zurich invites applications for a tenure-track position. Our department is located in Basel, a hub for life science research collaborations with academia, clinics, and pharmaceutical industries. We focus on understanding, modeling, and engineering biomolecular systems for medical translation.
This role will also be part of the Basel Research Centre for Child Health, aiming to develop innovative solutions for child and adolescent health. We encourage collaborations within the medical research communities in Basel and Zurich.
We seek an expert in biomolecular systems engineering for translational medicine and health. You will use multi-disciplinary approaches, including biosystems engineering and synthetic biology, to develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic solutions. Key areas of interest include state-of-the-art molecular and cell biology techniques, synthetic biology tools, in vitro-based systems, and digital-assisted tools.
You should have a strong publication record in biomolecular and cellular systems engineering and/or synthetic biology. A clear interest in clinical application and childhood health is essential. As an assistant professor, you will lead a research group and commit to teaching.
