USA Triathlon seeks a Para Development Program Coordinator to grow the High Performance paratriathlon development pipeline by coordinating talent recruiting efforts and logistics for Olympic & Para camps at the US Performance Center in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit talented athletes to grow the paratriathlon Paralympic pipeline under the direction of the HP team.
* Plan and coordinate all logistics (Olympic & Para) for camps at the US Performance Center in Charlotte, NC.
* Develop and execute plans for Paratriathlon Development Race Series events, including participant management, rankings, communications, marketing, budget management, and clinic planning.
* Organize Paratriathlon Impairment and Junior & Under 23 Development Camps, managing participant selection, coach engagement, communications, marketing, budgeting, and post-camp surveys.
* Oversee the Junior and U23 Paratriathlon Development Program, hiring coaches with HP team oversight and managing participant management, communications, marketing, mentorship assignments, and travel assistance.
* Create and implement communication strategies to support Paratriathlon Development programs and initiatives as needed.
* Support classification events in the USA and maintain a master list of classified athletes nationally and internationally.
* Promote developmental camp opportunities through partnerships with clubs, organizations, and facilities, prioritizing diversity and accessibility.
* Collaborate with adaptive sport clubs and organizations to increase access to adaptive sports for new athletes.
* Serve as primary contact for athletes, parents, and coaches regarding Paratriathlon development initiatives, projects, and pathways.
* Coordinate travel and logistics for development-level camps as required.
* Maintain liaison duties with the USAT Paratriathlon Committee to ensure parallel priorities with the committee and USAT staff.
* Manage the Paratriathlon inbox alongside the High Performance Programs Assistant Manager.
Requirements
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and social media platforms.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively remotely, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
* 1 year of experience in Olympic, Paralympic, and/or High Performance sports preferred.
Additional Details
* This position is based at the US Performance Center in Charlotte, NC.
* 20% Travel required for development events to support HP initiatives.
* A valid passport is required for international events.
* Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays dictated by event schedules.
