We are seeking a qualified and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and aligning operational and technical software requirements for both greenfield and brownfield projects. This position ensures that business requirements are accurately reflected in software specifications and related equipment, identifies and documents interfaces, and facilitates effective implementation supporting the local project team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure that business requirements are accurately reflected and supported by the software and related interfaces with other software and equipment.
* Identify and document system integrations and the associated messaging and data exchange within a complex systems engineering project, contributing to the internal standardization program.
* Ensure effective implementation of integration between various equipment, systems, processes, and organizations.
* Support the creation and execution of the testing strategy and the related test scenarios and test cases.
* Conduct functional testing and execute related test cases during different project phases.
* Develop guidelines for troubleshooting and log analysis to enhance the use of complex systems engineering.
* Identify and document current and future processes, including standard and exceptional flows, translating them into automated processes and SOPs, and subsequently into checklists.
* Identify process changes and their impact on different roles within the organization, ensuring that changes are highlighted and included in training, SOPs, and specifications.
* Define and enhance the optimization features of the systems involved in the project.
* Support the strategy for the production control room, including defining roles and responsibilities.
* Assist in preparing and ensuring readiness for go live of different projects.
* Coordinate the development and delivery of end-user training when feasible, supporting the overall training strategy.
* Ensure comprehensive inclusion of project implementation knowledge in the procurement process, particularly regarding interfaces, to avoid technical gaps.
* Collaborate with the team to improve the standardization program based on project interfaces, optimization features, and related procedures.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
* Experience in systems engineering, integrations, and message exchanges.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
* Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects, preferably with automated terminals for at least 3 years.
* Experience with designing, testing, and optimizing automated systems and related interfaces.
* Capability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
* Familiarity with different Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and Equipment Control Systems (ECS).
* Experience with various Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) interfaces.
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English for effective collaboration across teams.
* Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies is beneficial.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to communicate and present in a concise and effective way.
* Willingness to travel for different projects.
