As Chemical Engineer in our Process Technology and Innovation team for Chemical Manufacturing Pharma Small Molecules, you are responsible for crystallization, filtration, drying, and milling tasks in connection with the development, scale-up, implementation, and optimization of chemical processes.
As a technical expert, you support the proactive life-cycle management of pharma products through continuous and systematic development and optimization of production processes. You also play a key role during new technology introductions and support internal and external customers. You will work in interdisciplinary teams committed to ensuring product profitability and sustainable business success.
Key Responsibilities: Supports new product implementations, process development, optimization & production support.
Plans and supervises experimental lab work.
Collects, summarizes, and analyzes data to prepare reports and makes presentations, as appropriate, to disseminate standard processes throughout the organization.
Provides technical expertise and consulting to technical and business decisions and solves scientific problems.
Anticipates and evaluates trends and new technologies in the field of expertise & supports the introduction of new technologies.
Supports external collaboration projects.
Key Requirements: Ph.D. or Master’s degree, preferred area of study: chemical engineering with focus in crystallization, filtration, or drying.
Sound problem-solving skills.
Experience in research & development and/or operations, preferentially in the pharmaceutical industry.
Conceptual and innovative thinking to develop groundbreaking solutions.
Self-directed and motivated with strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
