As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with experience of order management systems like FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform / Front Arena to join the business facing Trading Applications Team.
Job description
Joining a small and diverse team supporting a range of banking applications, the Technical Support Engineer would help resolve issues end-to-end. You would document resolutions and share your knowledge with the rest of the First Level Support Team. You will contribute to development and work items.
Responsibilities will include:
* Resolve incidents reported by business users on Banking applications
* Coordinate between various teams within the department and internal IT teams within the bank to fix major incidents
* Communicate updates to business users
* Document issues and resolutions using internal systems
* Contribute to long-term system enhancements either as a developer or a business analyst
Requirements
You will possess as many of the following skills as possible:
* At least 3 years' experience working at a financial institution as engineer / technical support in a banking environment.
* Experience working with order management systems (esp. FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform / FrontArena)
* Hands on experience working in an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) environment / knowledge
* Experience working with Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server, and writing SQL queries
* Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
* Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., ELK)
* Fluency in English
Nice to have:
* Experience working with OpenLink Findur/Endur or any major trading platform
* Experience working with GoldenSource or any major enterprise data management system
* Experience working with financial messages (SWIFT, FIX, CTM)
* Experience working with asset management solutions (Aladdin)
* Experience with trading venues (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FXall, Tradeweb, Eurex)
Compensation benefits
Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers:
* Contract until end of financial year (31 Mar 2026) with likelihood of extension up to five years
