Job Description
The Technical Account Manager is a technical team member responsible for all aspects of the planning, architecture, coordination, and management of professional services engagements.
The focus is on architecting and project management of availability solutions, including data protection and monitoring. The Technical Account Manager is an expert in the areas of Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center, Cloud, Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, and Virtualization.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Providing input to proposals and Statements of Work.
2. SUPPORTING delivery implementation and consulting services to meet Veeam Software solution design and deliverables.
3. Providing overall project guidance (project plans, schedules, communication plans, resource plans, status updates, etc.).
4. Assisting with assessment and design of solutions as well as post-installation issues.
5. Assisting with Veeam Software solution implementation effort estimation.
6. Creating white papers, solutions guides, best practices, custom documentation, etc.
7. Delivering onsite knowledge transfer on Veeam Software solutions.
8. Documenting configuration and completed activities.
9. Analyzing installed environments and guiding optimal Veeam Software configurations.
10. FACILITATING communication between client and Veeam support.
11. Identifying additional needs within the client's environment that can be resolved with Veeam Software solutions.
12. Providing input for improvement of process and documentation.
13. Overnight travel to meet company goals and objectives.
Requirements
1. VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE or equivalent experience.
2. Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent experience.
3. Bachelor's Degree in technology required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
4. Hands-on experience with Veeam's Core products.
5. Proven Consulting and Project Management experience.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
7. Significant experience and understanding of virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
8. Experience with disruptive storage systems and technologies (Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, Veeam, etc.).
9. Hands-on experience with networking protocols and equipment (Fibre Channel, Ethernet, Cloud services).
10. Experience with traditional storage and backup architectures (EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, Dell, etc.).
11. Hands-on experience with Enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle, etc.).
12. Experience with Data Management, Data Protection, Data Analytics.
13. Extensive experience with Data Center, Business Continuity and Operating Systems.
14. Experience successfully managing multiple simultaneous projects and accounts.
15. Working knowledge of Cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols.
16. Business proficient in German and English.
